Le Sacre du printemps, Igor Stravinsky

I was obsessed with The Rite of Spring for about a week straight.

For you. Two versions, both incredible.

The Joffrey Ballet performance with original choreography by Vaslav Nijinsky. This was broadcasted on PBS back in its golden days, which might just mean the days when I used to watch PBS after school for hours with my grandma. My favorite part begins at 7:30.

Performance by an unnamed group in 1970 with choreography by Maurice Béjart. My favorites are part 2/4 mostly and the segment that begins at 2:14 in part 4/4.

sir darlington, part 2

sausage-y monome fingers!

edit: oh yeah... reading angela's post reminded me of how much fun tonight was because 1) i drank a lot of wine at work with angela after which 2) angela and i went to a really hott show where 3) i danced on angela a bunch and 4) at some point i had to clarify to angela that i would NEVER "do" milt.

(zuhair, please do not let this disturb you.)

sir darlington

daedelus!!!!!!!!!!!! so so sosososoososo much fun and so good. i might love him. dandy dandy fop fop.

yay photosssssssssss! it was really hard to get good photos because of the lighting... i had to synchronize my exposures with the flashing lights. but i got a few good ones out of a hundred or so. it was my first time using the d70 at such a scale, anyway.

daedelus tomorrow! i've barely heard two songs by him but i'm seriously fascinated just by him as a person. also, he and his wife are so cute and they share the most appropriate surname ever. i would find/post photos from their !!!! wedding because i remember one of my lj friends being their photographer but that may be too creepy even for me.

midnight boobies last night! i love watching them play-- especially from the behinds... larry reminds me of chr. bale in 3:10 to yuma. or the other way around, actually.

i'm feeling a bit dull... not in the "i'm boring" way (at least not more than usual). maybe it's a lack of... energy... of sorts. i have moments where i want (need?) to be around people-people and i think this is one of those... during these moods or funks or whatever, i can't really get anything done. i guess i could've just said that i'm feeling uninspired.

maybeybmambeyayybybymaybe i'm just tired. bonne nuit.
